On June 13, weekly tabloid newspaper Inside Tucson Business awarded its 2018 Outstanding Dental award for to Dr Mark McMahon of Coyote Dental.
Coyote Dental offers rides to dental patients from Tucson to the Mexican border at Nogales. It provides a service where, instead of seeing a Tucson dentist, dental patients receive dental care at a Nogales, Mexico dental clinic.
The distinction was awarded during the tabloid’s annual “Influential Health and Medical Leaders” awards ceremony at the Tucson Desert Diamond Casino. Other dental professionals receiving mention in the Outstanding Dental category were Dr Kurt Kacer of OrthoPros and Dr Sharad Pandhi of Smile Perfection.
In its press announcement for the event, Inside Tucson Business said the award recipients were “recognized for their service to the Tucson community.”
Jason Joseph, president and publisher of the publication’s parent company Tucson Local Media said the publications “cherish the opportunity” to recognize hard-working healthcare professionals “throughout Southern Arizona.”
He added that all finalists were winners for their contributions to the “betterment of Pima County.”
Tucson Local Media is owned by 10/13 Communications and publishes other local tabloid newspapers, including the Tucson Weekly, Foothills News and Marana News.
